Busy family business with a small staff in Japan is hit by the end of the year

Busy family company that specializes in producing family-friendly content for children and families in Japan has shut down its website.
In a statement posted to its Facebook page on Monday, Busy Family Magazine said it was shutting down its parent company, Busidom Media, because of a change in ownership.
The company, which also publishes a magazine, is one of several Japanese family business that have been hit by an abrupt decline in revenue and advertising.
Its parent company is Busidoms Media Group, which owns and operates various entertainment and news sites.
Busidom, which describes itself as a family-oriented entertainment company, is owned by Yoshihiro Fukuda, a businessman who previously owned several newspapers in Japan.
Fukuda was in the process of selling BusyFamilyMagazine.com and other media assets to Busidommedia, which bought BusyMagazine.net last year for $4.9 million.
While Busy Magazine has a relatively small staff, Fukuda said it had more than 1,300 employees, including its Japanese staff.
He did not provide an explanation for the company’s decision to shut down.
Busy Family is run by Fukuda’s wife, who also works at the company.
According to the Busidomes’ Facebook page, Fukada and his wife have been married for 19 years and have three children.
They have four grandchildren.
“The staff at Busidome Media has always been extremely friendly and caring,” Fukuda wrote.
He did not explain why the company decided to shut its website down, but the Facebook post indicated that Fukuda was preparing to step down.
A representative of Fukuda told The Huffington Sun on Monday that he is still in the midst of negotiating with Busidomedia to bring Busyfamily to Japan.
“We are in talks with Busy Entertainment,” the representative said.
Meanwhile, Fukida is also facing criticism for his decision to sell Busy magazine, which was shut down in December.
The Busidomas were among more than 150 families whose property was sold to Busy Media last year.
The sale of BusyMedia.com was widely criticized for being a conflict of interest for the couple, who are both married to former Busidomo.
