CHICAGO — Chris Klinkhamers family business is looking for a new investor after five years of hiatus from professional hockey.
Klinkhamer’s agent, Chris Luechner, said Friday that the 37-year-old former Anaheim Ducks forward was considering a potential return to play in the National Hockey League.
Luechter said Klinkhart is not interested in selling his family business.
“I don’t think he’s interested in any of that, but it would be a nice way to get a fresh start,” Lueckner said.
“It would allow him to have some peace of mind, maybe some perspective on where he’s at.”
Klinkhammer, who spent two seasons in the NHL with the New Jersey Devils, played seven seasons in Anaheim.
He is one of the top free-agent pickups of the off-season.
Kurlhamers last game with the Ducks was Dec. 17, 2011, against the Anaheim Ducks.
He had six goals and 11 assists for 18 points.
